A rough guide. Snow lines vary each year; check conditions first.

Waterfalls run high: Norvan Falls, Cypress Falls, Lower Falls (Golden Ears), Shannon Falls, Bridal Veil Falls. Mid-elevation trails start to clear late in this window.

july to september

Alpine season: Garibaldi Lake, Panorama Ridge, Joffre Lakes (Upper Lake), Elfin Lakes, Eagle Bluffs, Wedgemount Lake, Golden Ears Summit. Book passes where needed.

october

Larches are not local, but fall colour and quiet trails are: Buntzen Lake Loop, Sendero Diez Vistas, Lindeman Lake, Whyte Lake. Snow can return to the alpine any week.

good to know cam

Hi, I'm Cam Appleton. I love Vancouver and I love getting out on its trails. When I went looking for a simple, easy hiking guide for around here, I couldn't find one I liked. I also really like helping people, so I built this one.

My day job is real estate. I help people buy, sell and lease. I hope you're enjoying the start of Hike Vancouver. I wrote these guides the way I'd explain things to a friend at the trailhead.
