Methodology

how this data is built

Each trail has the same fields: distance, elevation gain, typical time, difficulty, season, trailhead, parking and transit, passes, dogs, highlights and safety notes. Where sources differ or a figure varies by route, we give a range. Times are typical for a fit adult and exclude long breaks.

Day-use pass details were checked against BC Parks on October 24, 2026. Other figures are approximate and should be checked with the land manager before you go. Elevation profiles are schematic, drawn from total distance and gain.

good to know cam

Hi, I'm Cam Appleton. I love Vancouver and I love getting out on its trails. When I went looking for a simple, easy hiking guide for around here, I couldn't find one I liked. I also really like helping people, so I built this one.

My day job is real estate. I help people buy, sell and lease. I hope you're enjoying the start of Hike Vancouver. Questions about the site or about real estate, I'm easy to reach.
