route in detail

In Alice Lake Provincial Park, start beside a creek near the South Beach lot and climb briefly through forest to open ground and a sign to Edith Lake. Continue north on the access road, keep left past the lake, follow signs at an old logging road to Stump and Fawn Lakes, with a short side trip to Fawn Lake. Wind through shady forest toward the Cheekye River to Stump Lake, then complete the circuit past Alice Lake back to the start.

Watch for: Several road and trail junctions; follow the lake signs.

Best season: Best April to November

good to know cam

Hi, I'm Cam Appleton. I love Vancouver and I love getting out on its trails. When I went looking for a simple, easy hiking guide for around here, I couldn't find one I liked. I also really like helping people, so I built this one.

My day job is real estate. I help people buy, sell and lease. I hope you're enjoying the start of Hike Vancouver. If you're thinking about living closer to trails like this one, I'm happy to talk.
